Yingli Solar PV Technology Lab, established in 2009 and covering an area of 4,500 m2, is mainly intended for basic and applied research of PV materials, solar cells, PV modules and PV power generation systems, providing systematic technical guidance for introduction of raw materials, approval of new processes and research and development of new products, striving for solving key scientific and technical problems in all aspects from basic research to industrialization, and forming a distinctive academic platform and R&D base.
The research of PV materials includes the research and analysis of raw materials in all processes of PV products, and has made outstanding contributions to the reliability of products. The research on high-efficiency solar cells has covered national, provincial and ministerial-level R&D programs and independent corporate R&D projects, greatly improving the solar energy conversion efficiency and reducing the generating cost. In recent years, the research of PV modules has yielded three categories of 50+ different crystalline silicon PV modules for enterprises, achieving industry-leading scientific payoffs. The research of PV power generation systems has great guidance significance on the design, construction, acceptance, and operation and maintenance of PV power plants.
Yingli Solar PV Technology Lab is accredited by China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment (CNAS). It boasts 100+ sets of domestic and foreign advanced R&D and testing equipment, including module IV tester, steady-state simulator, scanning electron microscope (SEM), correscan tester, confocal microscopy, dynamic-static load testing machine, large walk-in high and low temperature test chamber, and UV light aging test chamber. With a total investment of CNY120 million, the equipment can be used for more than 200 types of test, providing a test capability fully meeting the requirements of IEC61215, IEC61730 and other international standards.
