On August 16, Yingli announced the start of construction of its new industrial park, which focuses on N-type TOPCon technology and has a capacity of 5GW. Mr. Yin Xulong, Chairman of Yingli and Mr. Xiong Jingfeng, CEO of Yingli attended the launch ceremony.

The industrial park is located in Mancheng Economic Development Zone, Baoding City, occupying an area of about 224,666 ㎡; a total investment of 2.5 billion RMB was made to build this park, the output value of which will be 6.5 billion RMB. Planned to begin operation in Q1 2023, the production line adopts an MES intelligent manufacturing system, an AGV logistics transportation system, a WMS quality management system and other platforms to achieve highly automation and low-carbon footprint.

“The start of the industrial park is our important layout in the N-type TOPCon field”, said Mr. Yin Xulong, “Relying on the national standard innovation base, we continue to improve our technological competitiveness and achieve capacity upgrades.”

As the pioneer of N-type technology, Yingli has started the research and development of N-type technology since 2009, and took the lead in mass production in 2010. The Yingli PANDA bifacial modules has been widely recognized around the world. In 2020, the bifacial test standard that Yingli had led and edited was released, filling the gap in the testing standards for bifacial modules.
